After stints in management and missionary work in Haiti, Marcus felt called to full-time ministry and is now the lead pastor of Hill Church in Kewanee. He provided wise counsel even before Cornerstone officially existed and continues to do so today. He and his wife Bobi live in Kewanee, IL with their three sons Lincoln, Bishop and Moses. In addition to his work at Hill Church, Marcus is a youth baseball coach, President of the Kewanee ministerial association and active in other local civic groups. He and his family have also hosted multiple exchange students in the last few years.
Tim is the Co-founder and a board member of Cornerstone. He is a family physician with OSF Healthcare. His passion for Cornerstone was born out his experiences with patients and his desire to love his neighbor better. Tim and Elizabeth, along with their three children Avery, Isaac and Clara, live in Sheffield.
Dan and his wife Sue live in Kewanee, IL. Dan had a 30+ year career with multiple Fortune 500 companies and most recently was an executive with Western Union. Now retired, he brings a knowledge base and wisdom to the board that was previously absent. Dan and his wife have 2 children and 5 grandchildren who help occupy his free time, along with golf, guitar and reading history.
Suzy and her husband Josh live in Sheffield with their 2 kids. She studied elementary education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and is currently is a 4th grade teacher at Bureau Valley. Suzy is active at the Sheffield United Methodist Church, a foster parent, and 4-H leader. Her passion is to serve others and encourage others to find balanced health - mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Ann was raised on a farm in McLean County, Illinois, so she enjoys country living. She currently lives outside of Wyanet with her husband Mark and their elderly pets Sam (Golden Retriever) and Rocket (kitty). She graduated from Illinois State University with a BA in English Education and later an MA in English, then going on to teach English, French, and co-sponsoring the Drama Club for many years in the old Western and now Bureau Valley school district. Her second career led her to the Town of Normal, Illinois, as the town receptionist then Deputy Clerk from 2000-2011 when she retired. She and Mark attend Bunker Hill Church in Buda where she enjoys working with Kids' Klub and VBS. She has a heart for young people and wants to work to make our communities safe and secure places for them.
Donna lives between Sheffield and Manlius with her husband, Cameron, daughter, Caroline, and rescue dog, Bear. She is a 2014 graduate of Iowa State University, with a bachelor’s in agricultural business. Throughout her career and time as a student, Donna lived in Iowa, Chicago, Nebraska, Indiana, and Kentucky before returning home. These travels gave her a large perspective on Midwest culture and farm culture. While working on the family farm and family grain elevator business, Donna has developed a passion for not just farmers, but all people who work and live in rural communities.
